Sony cassette recorder March 8, 2007 This is a very good buy for the money. I recommend it for taping conversations. It would not be good for money.
With only using it for short period of time. January 15, 2007 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
I've bought it for my mom and tested it for some weeks before I send it to her. Overall It was great buy. I didn't have any music cassette tape so I put in blank tape and record some voices and the quality was fine. Ofcourse It wasn't digital recorder so It has some constant noice of tape running but sound quality was great. It was far better than those in the mp3 player's built in mic recorder. You can adjust the speed of a tape and make some funny sound like cartoony voice. Only concirn is it doesn't have auto stop or auto-reverse so always do it by manually.
good but not perfect January 15, 2007 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
A good product that would be better if it could record at a greater distance. Some background hissing noise noticed.
Pretty Good Cassette Recorder! December 31, 2006 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I got a Sony TCM-200DV Cassette Recorder with Dual Power Source for Christmas. Since then, I have enjoyed listening to cassette tapes and making my own sounds. My brother loves it too. I recommened this cassette player to anyone who wants to make their own sounds and listen to cassette tapes.
NOT for lecture halls or meetings November 30, 2006 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
As a test, to make sure of the range, for recording a meetng, I did the following. The recorder failed completely. I turned the T.V. to a normal level. At eight feet away, the only playback was static. The recorders did not pick up the sound until I was six feet away. The only way it might be used in a meeting is if you only wanted to record one person and you placed the recorder immediately next to that speaker. Also, it does not automatically stop at the end of rewind.
